River City Symphony





The River City Brass Band (River City Brass, RCB) is a modified British-style brass band based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The 28-piece ensemble tours extensively throughout the United States with more than 20 performances each year as part of community concert series across Western Pennsylvania.

The issues in this case is the River city brass band want to change perception to “highbrow”  but the show in parks and frees but the image of the symphony are not ordinary people feel comfortable.

The audiences will change perception then they are look ads and they are  develop and advertising campaign ,such as print ads for local newspapers, radio ads for local radio stations  and cable TV ads . We will expect people to attend our concert after we change them perception to feel ordinary and comfortable.


University Hospital





University Hospital is the largest private hospital in the United States, The hospital employs 6,000 persons and medical staff more than 1,300 persons. The hospital prepared for centennial celebration that beginning in 18 months. It’s looking at public relations strategies that will continue to the city’s leader in hospital care position. The public relations director have been evaluated the potential impact of contemporary demographic trend in the United States and to recommend appropriate action in relation to the upcoming centennial celebration.

The issue in this case is the public relations director need to publicize about centennial celebration hospital which have been evaluated to potential impact of contemporary demographic trend in the United States and to advise appropriate operation about the centennial celebration.

This case is related to  “ Diffusion Theory”  is another way to look at how people process and accept information. We use media tools to communicate with stakeholder, as patients, employees and medical staff.

The public relations director for University Hospital need to publicize about centennial celebration hospital. They should use media tools to communicate with stakeholder such as directing mail to stakeholder to use magazines, television, radio, newspapers, or posters to send the message to patients and other people in each segment. It’s easy to reach people.

The Importance of Evaluation







Robert  Marker  remember an occasion  some years ago . He  thinking about the need for some kind of measurement device and internal reporting system to help explain the public relation function. He was getting for what he was spending on public relation. He came prepared with a considerable volume of newspaper clippings, magazine features, and case histories that we had produced in support of his product line that year. He laid all this out in front of him after an appropriate interval, he pointed out that all this publicity.

Robert  Marker said something to the effect that he thought the material spoke for itself. After all, this was highly coveted editorial space and he said it would be difficult to attach a specific value to it . But Manager disagree with him he said he has to attach a value to everything in this operation and It will work .

This case is related in chapter three about diffusion theory . The manager want him to write a memo outlining clearly what this function does for us and then he will talk about the budget for next year.
